Site Description: The site was located well offshore to the south-west of a large offshore island on a level plain of bedrock and boulders. The seabed at 35 m BCD consisted of boulders on bedrock with a variety of erect sponges. There were large colonies of Pentapora foliacea with clumps of Salmacina dysteri attached. Drachiella spectabilis was common.

Subsite Description: Upper circalittoral with boulders on bedrock. Drachiella spectabilis was common on the upper faces of the rock. Axinella spp., Phakellia ventilabrum and Polymastia boletiformis were also common on the rock.
