Site Description: The site was located to the east of a small offshore rock at the southern end of a chain of islands. It was fully exposed to the open Atlantic. Between 12 m BCD and 21 m BCD the seabed consisted of steep sided gullies and rock faces. Vertical faces had Corynactis viridis and Crisia denticulata with Sagartia elegans. Horizontal surfaces had sparse kelp, Laminaria hyperborea and foliose red algae. Urticina felina were abundant in patches at the base of vertical rock faces.
