Site Description: The site was located to the west of the southern tip of a small offshore island. Strong tidal streams run in an east-west direction. The seabed consisted of large stable boulders on gravel. Sponges, bryozoans and ascidians were abundant and diverse. There was a small amount of scour from nearby sandy areas.
