Dive number: 940625/01 Date: 25 June 1994
Site Description: A moderately exposed shallow sound between two small islands at the southern entrance to the Irish Sea. Strong tidal streams run through the sound. The sea bed consisted of boulders on gravel and cobbles. The area was typical of a current swept, sand scoured community. Filter feeders were abundant and diverse.

Subsite Description: A plain of pebbles with stable boulders. Laminaria hyperborea was occasional on the larger boulders. The sponge Esperipsis fucorum and the erect bryozoan Flustra foliacea were abundant.
