Site Description: The site was a natural harbour on the south side of a small island several miles offshore. Steep limestone terraces dropped to a dissected limestone platform. Patches of sand amongst the rocks were steeply duned but were colonised by some bivalves and Echinocardium pennatifidum.

Subsite: Upper infralittoral bedrock, exposed. details
Subsite Description: Moderately dense kelp forest on bedrock and boulders. The rock beneath the kelp was clean and covered with coralline algae and foliose red algae.
Subsite: Coarse duned sand. details
Subsite Description: Duned coarse sand in relatively small areas amongst limestone bedrock, with some bivalves and Echinocardium pennatifidum.
