Site Description: The site was located on the open south coast, to the south-east of a headland. The seabed consisted of a horizontal plain of rock ridges, 0.5 to 1 m high, covered with Ophiothrix fragilis.

Subsite Description: Ridges of sandstone bedrock with small boulders, covered in dense Ophiothrix fragilis but the tops of some ridges had no Ophiothrix, but Parasmittina trispinosa, Metridium senile, Alcyonium digitatum and Abietinaria abietina instead.
