
Known only from south Kerry and west Donegal, H. speciosa is very like its more frequent cousin H. obscurata (formerly H. japonica). Separating the two requires examination of the underside. In H. speciosa this is smooth and shiny, white to tan coloured (not yellow-spotted on a web of hyphae).
