Shrubby epiphyte, easily confused with Ramalina lacera (described elsewhere), but like that species lacks conspicuous spits in the upper and lower cortex (outer layers of thallus). It is separated on the basis of the following: (i) thallus branches < 0.5cm wide, (ii) surface of the thallus gristly and shiny, and without reticulations, and (iii) numerous small nodulose outgrowths. Rock underhangs.
