  • Epipactis leptochila (Godfrey) Godfrey - Narrow-lipped Heleborine - Orchidaceae
Epipactis leptochila
(Map updated: March 2008)

A population of what appears to be this very rare species formerly grew at one site in south-east Co. Antrim alongside common helleborine (Epipactis helleborine). Unfortunately, recent clear-felling of the plantation where it grew may have obliterated it. First found in 1979.

All names: Epipactis leptochila (Godfrey) Godfrey; Epipactis cleistogama C.Thomas; Epipactis dunensis (Stephenson & T.A.Stephenson) Godfrey; Epipactis muelleri Godfery; Epipactis leptochilla sens. str.
