(Map updated: March 2008)

This is an attractive low-growing herbaceous plant, with abundant pale pink flowers produced throughout the summer. It is native to eastern Siberia and western North America and was introduced to the British Isles as a garden plant, but has "escaped" into a scattering of semi-wild woodland situations across Northern Ireland.

All names: Claytonia sibirica L.; Montia sibirica (L.) Howell; Claytonia alsinoides Sims
