Minuartia verna

A low-growing native perennial with a mat of linear leaves and small white flowers.

This is a montane species found on the basaltic escarpment and cliffs which are a feature of the coasts of Co Antrim and Co Londonderry, and along the eastern side of the River Roe valley. Elsewhere in Ireland on limestone in Co Clare and the Aran Islands.
