A branched annual pearlwort with tiny flowers with no petals or with 4 minute green petals; leaves without the short bristle-like point found at the ends of those of other pearlworts (Sagina procumbens and S. apetala). It is frequent on walls, rocks and gravels on or near the sea shore.
