Ceratophyllum submersum

A submerged aquatic plant similar to the rigid hornwort C. demersum, but much more restricted in occurrence, being apparently confined to some of the lakes of the Lecale area. It was first discovered in 1989 during the Northern Ireland Lake Survey which was carried out in the years 1989 - 1992.
