Rosa canina x stylosa (R. x andegavensis)
(Map updated: March 2008)

Rosa stylosa is absent from Northern Ireland although it grows further south in Ireland. However, in at least two areas of Cos Antrim and Down, plants which are hybrids with the common Rosa canina are locally frequent. They can be recognised by having a prominent thick-walled conical top to their hips (a R. stylosa character).

All names: Rosa canina x stylosa (R. x andegavensis) Bast.; Rosa x andegavensis Bast.; Rosa canina x stylosa; Rosa x rufescens Wolley-Dod
