Bond (1996).Beirne (1941) recorded Sorhagenia rhamniella (Zeller, 1839) (as Walshia) from Co. Kerry but at that time the differences between that species, lophyrella (Douglas, 1846) and S. janiszewkae Riedl, 1962 were not recognized.
