Common seal Phoca vitulina

SOUNDS: Common seals produce snorts and growls and young pups call to mothers with high pitched 'waa-waa'. Common seals hiss if they come too close to each other. Grey seals, in comparison, tend to be more tolerant and will lie in tight groups.
