HABITAT
& DIET: Brown long-eared bats listen to the sounds of insects and pick
them off leaves and twigs on trees and bushes, scanning the foliage in an upward
direction. They occasionally glean from grass or even the ground. They feed in open
deciduous and coniferous woodland, parkland and gardens. They do not normally
forage very far away from their roosts. Their prey includes spiders, moths, beetles
and earwigs.
