Currently known only from east Mayo, look for this small lichen growing in the crevices of elder (Sambucus) bark. The thallus is thin, green, and powdery and the spherical discs (perithecia) pale brown and rather well hidden. The spores are one- to three-septate (1220µm long) and shaped like an elongated ellipse.
