Known only from north Kerry, this rare species should be searched for among the mosses occupying the foot of willow trees in old established western woodlands. It is almost identical to L. brebissonii but the isidia are cylindrical, pale blue-grey and restricted to the ridges of the upper surface.

• Like L. brebissonii but found among mossy tree bases, especially sallow
• Isidia cylindrical (not granular), pale blue-grey.
