A conspicuous, shrubby, yellow-green lichen of the upper part of rocky shores. The strap-like lobes have numerous minute black dots (pycnidia), which are absent from the similar Ramalina siliquosa.

Key characteristics

  • Shrubby, yellow-green thallus.
  • Black dots (pycnidia) on lobes.
  • Exclusively marine.
