Unmistakable lichen of old mine spoil tips. It colonises the thallus of Baeomyces rufus producing a scatter of conspicuous yellow to yellow-green patches that glow orange under UV. Small, black discs are usually present which become convex at maturity. No recent records from Ireland. West Cork.

  • On Baeomyces rufus, forms small, bright green patches with black, convex discs
  • Mine spoil or on rocks with metal contamination.
