The record of this rather beautiful Lempholemma from County Sligo is today regarded as doubtful. The black, tiny fan-like thallus with channelled lobes covered in clustered isidia and lobules are conspicuous in their net-like form, but are usually restricted to ledges and small pools on high ground above 700m. Furthermore, it is associated with calcareous mica-schists and the like.

Key characteristics

  • Thallus in tiny fan-shaped rosettes with channelled lobes and clustered isidia
  • On calcareous mica-schists above 700m.
