Recording in Ireland

As yet there is no formal recording scheme for ladybirds in Ireland.

Coleoptera (beetle) records for Northern Ireland, including all ladybird records so far collated or submitted by the recording community, are held on the CEDaR database situated in the Ulster Museum. Plans to set up a Record Centre in the Republic are progressing and eventually this will hold records for southern Ireland, including those currently held at CEDaR.

The CEDaR Database will, in the meantime, process all Irish records of Coleoptera, including ladybirds.
