Origin: New Zealand A small, creeping herbaceous species of no garden value accidentally introduced with garden plants from New Zealand. Now common throughout Northern Ireland as a garden weed on damp walls, steps, ditch sides; also in wild situations such as drainage ditch sides, besides streams. Ascending to high altitudes in the mountains such as the Mournes and Sperrins, and well away from houses. |
