The Ulster Museum Herbarium contains c.110,000 specimens. Most are of plants collected from the wild, but there is an expanding collection of garden plants, especially trees and shrubs, mainly collected from Northern Ireland gardens.

Accurately-named herbarium specimens are invaluable as aids to proper identification of species, hybrids and cultivars.

*The herbarium and library are available for consultation by appointment.*
