Family: Agavaceae Origin: New Zealand A magnificent species, growing to 8m, with a truly exotic look, this is slightly more tender and apparently more difficult to grow, and consequently much rarer than the related and rather similar Cordyline australis. At least two cultivars are known. Differs from C. australis by having much broader leaves. Photo of a mature specimen at Annesley Arboretum, Castlewellan. |
