Species Description:
A heath-like, low-growing shrub of heaths, moors and bogs, with tiny pink flowers and a blackish berry.

Frequent in upland areas of Northern Ireland (Mournes, Sperrins, Antrim Hills, western Fermanagh etc), but also found on bogs or peaty ground down to sea level in a few places.
