Salix caprea
(Map updated: March 2008)

This native willow is frequent in many parts of Northern Ireland and can be recognised by its large oval leaves. It grows in woodland, scrub and hedgerows. Hybrids with Salix cinerea are very common, perhaps more so than the pure species.

All names: Salix caprea L.
