Persicaria lapathifolia
(Map updated: March 2008)

This native species is very similar to Persicaria maculosa (redshank or persicaria) but it has pale green flowers and it lacks the red coloration of the stem. It grows in similar situations to P. maculosa, and often mixed with it. It is rather less common than that species.

Polygonum lapathifolium is an alternative name.

All names: Persicaria lapathifolia (L.) Gray; Polygonum lapathifolia L.; Polygonum nodosum Pers.; Polygonum lapathifolium L.; Polygonum scabrum Moench; Polygonum maculatum (Gray) Dyer ex Bab.; Polygonum pecticale (Stokes) Druce; Polygonum laxum auct.
