(Map updated: March 2008)

This is an introduced species accidentally brought in from New Zealand. It occurs frequently as a garden weed in damp bare ground, on steps and rockeries or in plant pots, but also has escaped into truly wild ground all over Northern Ireland, ascending high into the remotest mountain areas beside streams.

All names: Epilobium brunnescens (Cockayne) Raven & Engelhorn; Epilobium pedunculare auct. non Cunn.; Epilobium nerteroides auct. non Cunn.; Epilobium nummularifolium auct.
