Flora of Northern Ireland
Trifolium micranthum
(Map updated: March 2008)

Like a smaller version of the lesser trefoil (Trifolium dubium) and found in similar situations, but apparently much rarer, or perhaps overlooked. Generally, it can be distinguished from T. dubium by its having only 6 or fewer flowers in each head (up to 15 in T. dubium).

All names: Trifolium micranthum Viv.; Chrysaspis micranthum (Viv.) Hendrych; Trifolium filiforme L., nom.ambig.
