Trifolium medium
(Map updated: March 2008)

At first glance similar to red clover (Trifolium pratense) in general appearance, but with longer and narrower leaflets. The common name derives from a tendency for the stems to grow in a zig-zag fashion. A native perennial species of grassy places, less common than T. pratense. It is perhaps under-recorded, except in Co Antrim.

All names: Trifolium medium L.
