Species Description:
A tiny creeping species of muddy lake shores, often totally submerged, with narrow opposite leaves and pink flowers with six stamens. It is similar in appearance and habitat to Elatine hydropiper.

Rare and local, mostly in Co Down lakes.

All names: Elatine hexandra (Lapierre) DC.
