Flora of Northern Ireland
Barbarea verna
(Map updated: March 2008)

Three species of Barbarea occur in Northern Ireland, all are similar-looking species of roadsides and waste ground. B. verna is the rarest of the three and appears to finish flowering earlier than the others. Sometimes grown as a crop for salad.

All names: Barbarea verna (Miller) Asch.; Barbarea praecox (Sm.) R.Br.
