A rare species of fumitory with a loose inflorescence of pinkish-purple flowers which have the wings and tips to the petals a darker purple colour. It occurs in waste, cultivated or disturbed ground and appears to be unknown outside the British Isles (i.e. it is a British Isles endemic).
