Ranunculus lingua

A rather rare or local species of fens and swamps, probably declining with drainage of these habitats.

It is a tall, handsome plant with large yellow flowers and long, rather narrow, oval leaves. Similar to lesser spearwort (Ranunculus flammula) but larger and taller.
