Carex panicea
(Map updated: March 2008)

A very common species of flushes, lakeside fens and other wet places. The rather widely-spaced roundish fruits make this an easy species to recognise, but it is quite variable in size. Most plants are around 10 - 12 inches in height.

All names: Carex panicea L.
