Species Description:
Rather like a small version of the narrow-leaved water-plantain (Alisma lanceolatum) and found in the same sort of aquatic habitat: the shallow margins of lakes and ponds. The records are mostly concentrated into three regions
  1. Lough Neagh/Lough Beg
  2. the Fermanagh lakeland
  3. the western side of Strangford Lough and the Lecale Peninsula
