Osmunda regalis
(Map updated: March 2008)

A tall, robust fern of fens and bogs, especially frequent in the west. It has declined considerably in the east because of of habitat destruction (eg the bogs around Donaghadee were formerly a good area for this plant).

All names: Osmunda regalis L.
