Species Description:
This horsetail resembles a slender version of Equisetum hyemale and is the product of hybridization of that species with Equisetum variegatum. The plant is usually found as small-sized colonies, which are probably of considerable age, and normally in the complete absence of both parents. Its habitat preferences are similar to those of E. hyemale.
All names: Equisetum hyemale x variegatum (E. x trachyodon) A.Braun; Equisetum x trachyodon A.Braun; Equisetum hyemale x variegatum; Equisetum x trachydon A.Braun
