Enter either all or part of the family name in the relevant box. You can choose to fill in just one of the fields or both.
Searching using both fields:
If you choose the "OR" option (set as the default option) and fill in both latin family name and common family name you will get results that contain either of your criteria. For example, putting "Osmundaceae" in the latin family name box and "ferns" in the common name box will retrieve a list of all species belonging in either "Osmundaceae" or have "ferns" in their family name.
If you choose the "AND" option and fill in both family name and common family name you will get results that contain both of your criteria. For example, putting "Osmundaceae" in the family name box and "ferns" in the common family name box will retrieve only those families with both "Osmundaceae" and "ferns" in their name.
*N.B. wildcards such as * are not needed, the search will work using all or part of the name.
