Orchis morio

Green-winged orchid; Orchis bouffon; Kleines Knabenkraut; Salepknabenkraut; Zonzelle

Widespread throughout Europe, except the far north, but declining.

Superficially resembling Orchis mascula but much scarcer and declining. Found in sand dunes, limestone grassland, old limestone quarries.
