Ophrys eleonorae

Member of O. iricolor group

Eleanora's ophrys; Ophrys d'Eléonore; Ofride di Eleonora.

Corsica, Sardinia, N. Africa

Phrygana scrub. Closely related to Ophrys iricolor sensu stricto and perhaps better treated as a subspecies of it. The labellum is a dense black-purple colour with a paler bright blue speculum.
