Ophrys argolica is found across the eastern mediterranean region and southern Turkey. The subsp. elegans is perhaps limited to Cyprus. In open pine woods eg bordering the salt lake at Akrotiri.
Sepals pale pink, bent backwards. The subspecies is distinguished by its apparently triangular labellum. Found in open pine woods eg bordering the salt lake at Akrotiri.
