Neotinea maculata

Dense-flowered orchid; Orchis intact; Keuschorchis; Geflechte waldwurz; Satirione macchiato

From western Ireland eastwards through southern Europe and north Africa to Turkey, Cyprus and the Lebanon.

In woods, maquis, garigue and poor grassland, usually over limestone. White and pink-flowered forms occur.
