One of a group of species, including D. markusii, in which the boundaries between the species are unclear, and the names are variably applied by different authors. Most species of this group have yellowish flowers, but D. romana flowers exist in two colour forms: pink and yellow. Only the yellow form grows in Cyprus. Photographs: Troodos Mountains, Cyprus 2004.
