Coeloglossum viride

Frog orchid; Orchis grenouille; Grüne Hohlzunge; Poselćbe; Testicolo di volpe

Widespread, locally common; from Ireland to Turkey; from southern Europe (in mountains) northwards to Scandinavia and Iceland.

Sand dunes, grasslands, fens; mainly on calcareous soils. From sea level to 2500 metres in the Alps.
