Aceras anthropophorum

Man orchid; L'Homme pendu; Fratzenorchis; Puppenorchis; Ohnhorn; Ballerino

From the Mediterranean region northwards to Germany and the Low Countries; from Ireland to Turkey.

A frequent dull-coloured orchid with flowers having a lip resembling small human figures. The upper parts of the flower form a 'helmet'.
