Summary of site:

Knockninny Hill is some distance from the main Carboniferous karst areas of County Fermanagh so this small cave has attracted interest. It consists of a 10 m passage entered at the base of cliffs on the west side of the hill. It could be a survival of a former, more extensive, system.

It is of some arch'ological interest and an excavation in 1875 yielded remains of 9 humans, flint tools, a cist (a stone burial cell) containing an urn filled with bones and some early pottery fragments.
