Ask A Geologist

The Ulster Museum's Geology Department (Peter Crowther, ) and the Geological Survey of Northern Ireland are happy to answer queries on any aspect of local geology.

Some experts and professional geologists within ES2k are also offering this enquiry service (on a voluntary basis) to its members and members of the public. This is a unique chance to quiz a local expert by email on the geology, geomorphology, resources and landscapes of Ireland, so don't be shy. The experts listed below may also be available for outside lectures, fieldtrips or demonstrations (a charge may apply).
